THE GOLDEN SPOKES CHARITY RIDES are held in country surroundings over a flat closed road circuit centred around the Champion lakes Regatta Centre, near Kelmscott. It promises to be a great day for a great cause- CASM: Citizens Advocacy South metropolitan, working for the rights and interests of people with a disability in our community
TAKE A CASUAL RIDE with family and friends in the participation rides over distances from 30km to 5km
RUB SHOULDERS WITH CHAMPIONS and race in the 80km Open
MAKE UP A TEAM of 4 people and enter a team's event over either 30km or 60 km
SHARE THE FUN of cycling with your club, corporate or social team –or just a group of friends
RIDE IN SAFETY secure in the knowledge that you are on a closed road circuit
EVENTS FROM 30km to 80km will have electronic timing results available online that night, thanks to Southern Districts Cycling Club and Cycling WA’s support
SEE YOUR TIME see if you have beaten your Personal Best

ENTER FOR FREE! All you need to do is to raise just $100 in donations ($50 for School Students) for CITIZEN ADVOCACY SOUTH METROPOLITAN (CASM) and we will give you ONE FREE ENTRY into the event of your choice in THE GOLDEN SPOKES.If you wish to participate in this fundraising on behalf of CASM, once you have reached your target, please contact the CASM office on 9356 2814 for information on payment of the donation and Free Event Entry Registration.
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION FREE GIFTS Thanks to our Sponsor PIHC (Perth Integrated Health Clinics) you can get FREE attendance for two preparatory workshops on 1.Cycling Performance and Nutrition and 2.Cycling Biomechanics. For workshop registration details contact Jodie at Cycling WA on 9328 3422 after you have completed your Golden Spokes event registration. We will also be giving away several PIHC vouchers for FREE Assessments and for Performance Enhancement during the events
Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to take part in the event that best suits your ability.Hand Cyclists and Cyclists with a disability are most welcome and should contact Linda or Glenda at CASM on 9356 2814 or by Email to advocacy@casm.org.au if you require help in choosing the event best suited to your requirements.
Join in the Charity Ride (30km) as an individual or team. Check out how long it took you. All Participants in the Charity Rides receive Free Entry into the Raffle. YOU MIGHT BE THE LUCKY WINNER OF A FOLDING BIKE VALUED AT OVER $800 from our sponsor PUBLIC TRANSPORT AUTHORITY.
Get your Corporate Team,or join with friends,enter the Teams Challenge for the John Walton Memorial Trophy over 60km This will be a timed event.
For a casual ride in peaceful suroundings take the Short course/ Family Ride for 1 or 2 laps around the lake on the 5km Events Track
Take up the challenge of the Open Race and compete with the states best. Open and Support events will be timed.
As a sanctioned event competitors in the Open and Support Races over 80km will compete for Prize money in the normal categories.In addition the Golden Spokes Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the overall winner
Stay around for the Handicap Start Intersport Challenge and raffle draws to round off the day at 12 noon
Check out the WA Historical Cycle Club display including the Penny Farthings,you can even get to ride on some of the old bikes on display.
Refreshments,coffee and snacks will be on site all day at the Facilities Island
